I don’t! Uncertainty is part of the blood that makes up the chaos that runs through our world. We have to have uncertainty because if we didn’t, what would we be living for? What would we be striving to accomplish?
Worrying about uncertainty steals your time in life. It takes away from other more important and exciting aspects that are waiting for you. Uncertainty rules the chaos of people, places, and things so why bother with worrying.
Do you remember… people, places and things that we were taught in school? I remember those three words so well and I keep them in my soul. I walk around looking all the time at the people, places and things around me. They fuel my poetry and other types of the written word.
I spent the first 18 years of my life in daily uncertainty to the point of not knowing if my father was going to kill me. He was a vicious man and extremely abusive.
Now, all these years later, I use the horror, the pain, and the uncertainty to fuel my writing, to be kind to all people that I encounter, and I strive to be a beacon of hope and harmony. Yeah, that may sound corny but I don’t care. I live my life in the light created by the Greek and Roman Gods, by the teachings of Buddha, I remember Karma comes back times three. I absolutely do not believe in the “hell” that Christians use as a “tool of fear” to “herd” people like sheep into their churches in order to get their money. Now that is some serious uncertainty. The “fear of God” that is placed on people sitting in churches. That is a horrible uncertainty to place on anyone.
Feel free to tell me that is not a true statement. If you do, be sure to have theological evidence and come armed for a big battle.
Think of all the good YOU could be doing out in the world with that money you are giving to an already rich church. Plus. all the time you could be giving to children in foster care who need attention, helping at a women’s shelter or an animal shelter. Get out in the world and help make it better.
Here in America, we need to start taking care of each other because out government isn’t going to. Start right in your neighborhood. Make sure you know your neighbors and start offering to have dinner with them, or have a board game night. My neighbor mows my lawn and I help his wife with her crafts that she sells at fairs.
There was so much love and kindness in everyone that COVID took away. Do you remember who is responsible for COVID spreading so quickly in our country because he would not listen to any of his advisors? Look it up and you’ll remember. We have a remembrance every month in our neighborhood for those we lost to COVID and we check in on those with Long Term COVID.
So much uncertainty… push through it and live your life or you’ll become stagnant and fester. Worry steals your life and time to make memories. Don’t let that happen. KJP

I am… what others refuse to be”
P.S. The “J” has nothing to do with Donald Trump. It is in honour of my Grandfather.
